Chemical-grade silicon offers in tenders flat from end of June purchasing prices

In monthly tenders issued by two organic silicon plants this week, chemical-grade silicon metal 421# was monthly offered at 13,500-13,800CNY/MT on acceptance. This was flat from the purchasing price by two organic silicon producers in late June.
Downstream consumers continued to purchase as required as silicon prices declined.
As of July 5th, spot silicon metal 421# mostly traded at 13,400CNY/MT at Huangpu port in Guangzhou, down 300CNY/MT from late June, and down 2,100CNY/MT from March 23rd when the market began to fall.
