On July 6, silicon metal plants in Chongqing, Guizhou, and Sichuan lifted prices, with port price for 553# up by 100-200 yuan per ton. Their price hike echoed price increases by silicon metal producers in Yunnan.
Overall trading, however, was thin, as price hikes raised market caution.
