Export orders for silicon metals remain tepid

‍‍Silicon metal buyers overseas remained quiet of late. Aside from some routine purchasing bids from large aluminum producers, orders for restocking accounted for the majority of recent, limited export deals.

Some specifications of silicon metal in Chinese markets extended declines on Tuesday. In Kunming, 553# that did not undertake oxygen-refining mostly traded at 10,600-10,800 CNY/MT, down 50 CNY/MT from the previous day; the trading range of 553# that undertook oxygen-refining fell 50 CNY/MT from the prior day to 11,100-11,200 CNY/MT.
