Manganese prices to stay firm on tight supply

‍‍China’s manganese supply is expected to stay relatively tight after Chinese New Year with Chinese New Year with prices remaining until mid-March, considering the production cuts during China lunar new year holiday season and the recovery process afterwards.

While output in February is expected to be higher than levels seen in January, according to our survey, it would be still lower than usual. Some smelters would operate as per normal; others plan to suspend their operations for one to two weeks.
