Qiandongnan environmental protection inspection team conducts inspection in Zhenyuan Huaxiang Electrolytic Manganese Plant
On 6 May 2017, the environmental protection inspection team of Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture came to Zhenyuan Huaxiang Electrolytic Manganese Plant to supervise the implementation of environmental protection rectification.
On the spot, the environmental protection inspection team of the prefecture learned the environmental protection rectification in detail, and required the environmental protection department of Zhenyuan to fix its eye on the rectification, put the rectification in place and meet the environmental requirement.
On 5 May 2017, Zhenyuan County received the administrative case notification from the central environmental inspection team that Zhenyuan Huaxiang Electrolytic Manganese Plant mishandled scrap with the scrap dump only 300m from Wuyang River and lacked effective prevention with safety loophole. The government of Zhenyuan paid high attention to the notification and took immediate measures to check and rectify the unlawful acts of the plant.
So far, the plant has formulated rectification programs and clears the remaining scrap by excavators and laborers, with the remaining scrap along the riverside been cleared and covered with earth and seeds, and other programs are proceeding orderly.
