Wuhan Steel raises May purchasing price for manganese

Wuhan Iron and Steel settled its purchasing price for manganese nodules at 14,400 CNY/MT on acceptance, including taxes and transport costs, in its May tender earlier this week.
The price was up 560 CNY/MT from the purchasing tender for April.
Spot trades continued to be done between 13,300-13,400 CNY/MT in cash, ex-factory, and overall trades were thin as demand slowed after a peak period for deliveries to steelmakers.
Traders will closely watch the prices for steelmakers’ manganese purchasing tenders for more clues.
