Manganese prices steady after deliveries to steelmakers

‍‍‍‍‍‍Prices of electrolytic manganese across the Chinese markets held steady on Tuesday as demand slowed after a peak period for deliveries to steelmakers.

Spot trades were done between 13,300-13,400 CNY/MT in cash, ex-factory, and this was barely changed from Monday.

Some market participants expect spot manganese prices to remain rangebound in the short run.

Traded prices for cargoes that would be delivered next month came in to be relatively low, which reflects concerns about demand.

The average price of electrolytic manganese across major production areas stood at 13,300-13,400 CNY/MT today, flat with the previous day.
