The world’s first magnesium alloy automotive wheel hub production line built in Changge
The signing ceremony of the contract valued CNY 2 billion between Henan Do Well Technology Co., Ltd. and American-based TH Magnesium Company and the startup ceremony of magnesium alloy automotive wheel hub production line which can produce 1m per year at full capacity held in Changge on August 14th marked that the world’s first magnesium alloy automotive wheel hub production line has been built in Dazhou gathering area.
Magnesium alloy, with low density and light weight, is the ideal metal material for lightweight vehicles. Magnesium alloy automotive wheel hubs are characterized by safety, comfort, operability and energy efficiency. Thanks to light weight, the cars equipped with magnesium alloy wheel hubs can save 7% of their fuel consumption with the maximum figure at 15%. Magnesium alloy wheel hubs are bound to replace Aluminum wheel hubs in the future as the world’s entire automotive industry is in the pursuit of light weight, energy-saving and emission reduction of automobiles and magnesium alloy wheel hubs just have advantages in the above aspects. In addition, this kind of wheel hub will bring great potential to the automotive industry in terms of the power performance and other aspects.
Henan Do Well Technology Co., Ltd., having engaging in magnesium alloy ingots and magnesium-aluminum alloy sections for many years, has been listed in the “New Three Board” in July 2015 and will certainly gain rapid development upon the successful operation of the project.
