Another project of comprehensive utilization of magnesium resource built in Golmud
Golmud Haizhu Magnesium Development Co., Ltd.’s project of comprehensive utilization of magnesium resource (“the project”), a signed project for attracting investment at 2016 Qinghai green development investment & Trade Fair in Golmud Industrial Park, began construction recently.
Based on developing resources in Salt Lake, the project will build production equipment of 70,000tpy of magnesite halogenide-resistant magnesium chloride, 20,000tpy of snow-melting agent and 20,000 food-grade magnesium chloride. For the past two years, the company has jointly worked with Nanjing Institute of Information Technology for tackling key technology development problems as well as speeding up the construction of industry-university-research cooperation, making a breakthrough for the development of magnesite halogenide-resistant magnesium chloride technology, filling in gaps in the magnesite halogenide-resistant snow-melting agent products in Haixi autonomous prefecture upon construction and playing an important role for averaging up the comprehensive utilization of magnesium resource, promoting mass entrepreneurship and innovation, expanding industry chain and improving the added value of products.
It is reported that Golmud Industrial Park will actively track progress of the project and to do a great job of relevant coordination service, speeding up project construction and aiming to start operation within 2017, in order to promote the construction of industrial base for comprehensive utilization of RMB100 billion Salt Lake resources in Qinghai as well as the world-class Salt Lake Mg-K-Li ecological city.
